I hesitate retweeting minorities. As a (more or less totally hated) white guy. Am I allowed to agree publicly? Or am I appropriating or some other new sin? More importantly, am I hurting their campaign as a burgeoning untouchable? I imagine being told, “get off my side.”
Seriously. I’m tired of being a PR human shield for white 0.1%ers that own everything, telling their PR wizards to get us bickering over skin tone and conflating my broke ass with some 0.1%er from the 1850s with his antebellum plantation hell. I was NEVER that caste.
You have to trace my line all the way back to castle era Scotland to find anything like even a shred of real power or money to even think about oppressing anyone. And yet I feel hated, and I feel hated for feeling hated too, like how dare I care about myself.
Even now just as a male I’m supposed to “man up” by utterly destroying myself for some cause or other. I’m supposed to torture myself to death in a coal mine, or get blown apart in some desert, both for corporate profits and living up to standards set by hollywood.
Anyway… I’m just tired of being the bad guy. And I’m tired of all the contradictions. Like no one believes in innocent until proven guilty anymore, and I don’t blame them given the Orwellian state of the “justice” system. But at least the ideal should have value.
But it doesn’t anymore, the PR wizards have managed to get us all firmly believing we can spot guilt at a televised remove with such accuracy that it’s moral to completely dispense with even a moment of hesitation.
Further they’ve convinced us that righteousness is measured by the elaborate murders we call for on these press detected guilty. Just hard to stand the world these days. So I live in a video game run by absolute assholes.
