90% of the crap blamed on imaginary socialists actually describes the most pure form of capitalism. (Where in money is the final word in all matters.)
Under the truly free market view governance should be for sale also. (It has always been, and now we’e dealing with the whim of the current owners.) In this context corruption can’t exist because the market will control government for the good of all. That’s not how it works in reality. Capitalism is fire, and like fire it needs to be contained and channeled intelligently just to be safe, let alone useful.
It’s not impoverished bleeding heart leftists (AKA 99% of actual socialists) that literally write the law, it’s the obscenely rich that stay rich by getting people to blame anyone other than them, (identity politics, pro lifers, and gun control proponents) for example are all purpose built to keep us divided by distracting us from the real predators, the 0.1%) and convincing them that any check on their power makes you a pinko hippie or a fascist. Both “sides” have absolutely been trained to hate anyone with a full view of the real enemy. This is not an accident. This is a 200 billion a year PR core goal.
“Globalism” as a bad word annoys me too, as if a warless united society is a bad thing. Such unity can never happen in the face of multiple nationalisms. I’d rather not see us unified by conquest. The original plan for America was to invite everyone on earth and push our borders outward till they meet on the other side. No war or hate required. We have a model here that could turn whole countries into states. Pretty sure there are like 50 that would sign up tomorrow.
Why aren’t we doing that? Because the rich don’t want anything like a unified front to deal with. they have never wanted governments to have enough power to regulate them. Since the days of merchants vs kings. That never changed. Globalism as a bad word was invented to make everyone fear cooperating on the exact scale it would require to take the power away from the 0.1% who own half the planet’s economy and don’t care about borders. The solution isn’t to shun the tool, the solution is to use it properly.
If you’re still blaming socialists and globalists for the problems caused by people who are neither by the end of this comment then, this essay is for you: https://underlore.com/open-letter-to-all-who-are-rigged/
